Ants
Ants are industrious little creatures that may even seem admirable until they infest your home or yard. Once ants find food or water in your home they return to their colony and leave a pheromone trail that alerts the other ants. House ants won’t harm you but they can contaminate your food. If they infest your home, colonies can grow to thousands, consisting of the queen, which can live up to 30 years, and the workers.
Arizona is home to two species of Fire Ants. They are attracted to water sources, which makes your yard a target. They attack in hordes and can give a painful sting that will cause skin irritation and redness. In small or elderly pets, they can be life threatening. Spiders
Some of the types of spiders that are venomous in our area include Wolf, Brown or Arizona Recluse, and Black Widow. Spiders like to get into dark and quiet areas, such as storage areas and closets. Spiders do their best to avoid humans if they can, but will bite if you get too close or step on them by accident. These common spiders are not deadly but some can cause severe reactions. All of their bites can cause pain and discomfort. When you see the first sign of one of these types of spiders, let us nip the problem in the bud before it becomes worse.
Roaches
The five most common species of cockroaches in Arizona are the American, German, Oriental, Turkestan and Brownbanded cockroaches. Roaches are hard to manage once they invade because of their resourcefulness and resilience. They avoid light and will hide behind your walls during the day. Garbage or open containers of food will attract these pests, and they also like moist areas and will enter through sewer openings.

A German cockroach infestation can take more time to gain control, and you may notice an increase in cockroach activity after the first treatment. Scorpions
Scorpions are nocturnal and there are several varieties that call Arizona home. The most common is the Bark Scorpion. They are 2-3 inches long and are worthwhile, because they eat crickets, cockroaches, and other small insects you don’t want in your home. However, they give birth to 25-35 live young at one time. Their sting is similar to a bee sting, causing localized swelling, redness and skin irritation that can last for several days. They are rarely deadly, but it is scary to encounter one in your shower, or when putting on shoes. Let us take care of them before they infest your home.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitos affect the health of humans and domestic animals all over the world. Mosquitos
transfer viruses and other diseases through their bites. These diseases include heartworms in
our furry companions. Human disease: West Niles Virus, Dengue virus was recently found in
Arizona.
• There are 40 species of mosquitoes in Arizona. Culex tarsalis, Culex quinquefasciatus, Aedes
aegypti mosquitos are the key species In Urban settings of Arizona.
• Female mosquitos lay one egg at a time, clumping them together. She can lay hundreds of eggs
over her lifetime. The female mosquito is the only one that needs a blood meal, this is so she
can produce eggs.

Bees
Bees have many benefits, the most popular one being something we all love, honey. They are pollinators and are an important part of our ecosystem.
